Hello Blog, adding backend to my frontend

I decided I wanted to start writing down some tidbits of knowledge I’ve come across, what better way than with a blog. It began with my single page site and then converted it into a custom WordPress theme!
I tried various blank templete themes like HTML5 Blank or Underscore but found they had more than I needed for my single page website conversion. So instead, I created my own wordpress theme, taking apart my single page and chopping it into a header, main content and footer.
This post will be updated shortly to include the steps required to do this and have a minimalist WP theme.
